chess

Recently, i read an article, wherein the author has compared our life with a game of chess. He draws various similarities between the two, such as the need to envision, strategise and perceive. Vision determines our future in life and also in chess; strategies help u to devise means to achieve it and finally u perceive the results. There is, however, a very subtle difference between the two, ie, in chess u have only one opponent, but in life u are surrounded by them. In mathematical parlance, the game of chess is a linear equation, while life is a non-linear set of equations. Also, there is time gap between the two games of chess, which allows one to sharpen skills and learn from previous mistakes. life offers no such gap. u have to learn while you act.
